Nutritional Therapy is about transforming lives through dietary and lifestyle advice in order to achieve optimal health and vitality.
Alex follows the principles of Functional Medicine and her aim is to get to the root cause of her clients’ issues. She treats everyone as an individual and her principle is simple: remove the bad, put in the good. Ultimately, the body has the power to heal itself, ‘it just needs the tools to do it’.

How it works and what to expect
You will be asked to complete a food diary for one week before the consultation which you will bring to your first appointment. The initial consultation is for 90 minutes during which Alex will conduct a thorough case review covering medical history, lifestyle and dietary information.
In order to achieve a measurable outcome, we encourage individuals to commit to a minimum of three months, consisting of the initial appointment and a further two follow-up appointments of 45 minutes each.

How does Nutritional Therapy work?
We are all unique with a different set of circumstances and therefore what works for one may not work for another. Alex is very thorough in her approach and the aim is to always get to the root cause of someone’s health issues, taking into account family medical history, dietary goals and habits, digestive function and gut health. Alex looks at the client as a whole person and consider their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
The Nutritional Plan may include dietary and lifestyle advice with realistic and practical advice to address health goals. It may also include food and herb based supplement recommendations and blood and functional tests if necessary. Any tests are then ordered and analysed to give a better understanding of a client’s condition.
Alex understands that giving advice is not always enough and so works closely with a client’s mindset and educates, motivates and supports them to make positive changes to their health and lifestyle for the long term.
